Open data and semantic web enthusiast, with interests in data wrangling, data science, machine learning and free software. Involved with multiple Open Knowledge projects since 2009, such as CKAN, publicbodies.org, Global Open Data Index, and Data Portals. Early adopter of Frictionless Data. On the government side, designs and implements open data policies in Brazil since 2010, including the national data catalog dados.gov.br. I have also been involved in capacity building regarding ontologies and the semantic web for Brazilian public officials.

I have a B.Sc. in Computational Mathematics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais and a M.Sc. in Knowledge Management and Information Technology from the Cathlolic University of Brasília.
