Hi everyone,
I have been using DBpedia Spotlight to annotate text for a while. I noticed that it has some problems in identifying entities containing apostrophes or similar characters. Did someone experienced similar issues?
An example of this behavior is on the entity Moody’s: http://dbpedia.org/page/Moody’s_Investors_Service
If you try to annotate the text containing the abstract of the entity itself using the online Spotlight Demo you will notice that the correct entity is not recognized, which is a really suspicious behavior of the model.
I have several similar examples about this problem but unfortunately I have no clues as to what the issues might be. Any help or comment is appreciated.
